WHO WE ARE

World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) is the World Governing Body for amputee football associations across the globe.

The mission of the WAFF is to include and support people with amputations or limb defects, increase their access to amputee football opportunities, and use football to improve their quality of life.

Established in 2002 WAFF is ever evolving and developing. Bringing together nations from across the globe to work towards a sport with greater social impact.

With 5 affiliated associations, WAFF supports them administratively to develop and logistically through various programmes to coordinate and operate to a gold standard. As representatives of WAFF in their countries, they have obligations to respect the statutes, aims and ideals of Amputee football’s governing body and promote and manage our sport accordingly.

WAFFs aim is to associate and promote Amputee Footballing nations to make up the varying Confederations inline with main stream sport. The AFC in Asia, CAF in Africa, the Football Confederation (CONCACAF) in North and Central America and the Caribbean, CONMEBOL in South America, EAFF in Europe and the OFC in Oceania all provide support to FIFA without encroaching on the rights of the national associations.
